HS2 EPIC STEM workshop

On Wednesday 7th March, our Y9 students had the brilliant opportunity of taking part in the HS2 EPIC STEM workshop, led by representatives from HS2. Throughout the day, students participated in practical engineering and design challenges and had the chance to explore the latest technology in augmented reality on tablet devices and learn about the skills required to build and manage aspects of their own high-speed rail network. The workshop highlighted the ‘EPIC’ nature of the challenges that engineers face and showcased the creative, technology-driven solutions used in rail and infrastructure industries. The representatives were so impressed with the designs produced by our Y9 students, they took them back to HS2 to have a closer look!
