Welcome to Ark Victoria Academy.
Ark Victoria Academy opened on the 1st March 2018. The school was formerly known as Perry Beeches V and we are delighted to be joining the Ark network.
From 1st March 2018 Ark Victoria Academy and Ark Chamberlain Primary Academy have had a single local governing body which oversees both schools. This decision was made to enable the schools to work closely together, enabling effective school to school support and bringing the benefits of governor skills to both schools.
Following the outcome of the consultation the decision was made to amalgamate Ark Victoria and Ark Chamberlain from the 1st September 2018.
Ark Victoria Academy will retain the "all through family school" ethos that we have worked so hard to establish since we opened, and which we know is valued by our families.
We chose the name Ark Victoria because nearby Small Heath Park was named Victoria Park after Queen Victoria who visited the park on the 23rd March 1887 where she was greeted by thousands of school children. It also reflects the important part that Birmingham played during the Victorian industrial revolution.
Like Perry Beeches V, Ark Victoria Academy will remain a non-selective, non-denominational and mixed all-through school. Current pupils and staff will automatically transfer from Perry Beeches V to Ark Victoria on the 1st March 2018.
As part of the Ark network, our school will benefit from strong links with the wider network – particularly with the other Ark schools in Birmingham. Staff will be able to receive high quality training and support which is recognised as being among the best in the country- and our pupils will have opportunities to be able to take part in additional network-wide activities such as competitions, debates, music galas and university coaching.
We look forward to welcoming you to our school.
