Head of Year Welcome
I am delighted to introduce myself as your child's Head of Year. I will continue the excellent work carried out with your child's year group during the previous year.
Mr Jones will continue to be the Student Support Manager to support the year group. This exciting role is largely focused on all Year 10 and Year 11 students' GCSE learning, development, and achievement, as well as collaborating with you and your child to ensure that they accomplish their maximum academic potential.
Please contact your child's class teacher if you have any questions or concerns about their academic development. Please contact myself or Mr Jones if you believe the issue has not been resolved, or if there is a problem which affects many courses or could jeopardise your son's or daughter's progress.
The Curriculum document below has been created to assist you and your child in ensuring that they are properly prepared to begin their examination subjects in September. The foundations will be laid for academic achievement in 2021 as a result of this.
A key to academic success, and one I am passionate about, is working closely together with parents to support students. A strong partnership between home and school is essential for this to occur.

Curriculum Information
All pupils leave Ark Victoria with broad and diverse academic knowledge and skills. Our curriculum enables pupils to make connections across themes and concepts, within and across subject disciplines, building their vocabulary and understanding. It also develops pupils' ambition and independence, as well as fostering resilience and kindness. This leads to our pupils becoming respectful, curious citizens with a strong moral purpose.
