Head of Year Welcome
At Ark Victoria Academy (AVA), we aim to ensure that we provide each student with an excellent all-round education. We believe that every pupil is an important individual in the school community, and we aim to instil positive attributes in all of them to equip them for their daily lives beyond AVA.
In Year 9, students select their GCSE options. All staff are focussed on providing opportunities for exploration and plan to deepen conceptual understanding so that all students receive a rich and broad curriculum that will support them in whichever pathway they choose beyond KS3.
It is vital that parents and the school work together to support your child's learning, and we value frequent communication with our parents. We also ensure that all students are fully aware that they can speak to their form tutor, myself or their teachers if they have any worries or concerns regarding their education and/or welfare during their secondary school journey with us at Ark Victoria Academy.

Curriculum Information
All pupils leave Ark Victoria with broad and diverse academic knowledge and skills. Our curriculum enables pupils to make connections across themes and concepts, within and across subject disciplines, building their vocabulary and understanding. It also develops pupils' ambition and independence, as well as fostering resilience and kindness. This leads to our pupils becoming respectful, curious citizens with a strong moral purpose.
