Secondary drop down day 26/06/19

  • Year 7’s learnt about the financial world. The Senior Leadership Team held a quiz and debated whether it was right to tax people’s salaries – we had some very interesting comments!
  • Year 8’s had professionals come into school to deliver varies workshops. We had a doctor, an engineer from Highways, a pharmacist and a business owner who makes desserts in the Mailbox. Remember our vision is that pupils leave us with the skills and qualifications to continue their journey of life-long learning in a university or career of their choice.
  • Year 9’s visited Aston University for an ‘Access to Professionals’ workshop. For many, this was the first time that they had been to a University.
  • A group of Year 10’s visited Birmingham University and learnt more about the qualifications needed to enter university. Another group went on a Geography fieldtrip to Coventry, whilst another group stayed in school and had a communications workshop delivered to them by Speakers Trust.
