How to apply for Reception places
Children in Birmingham can start school (Reception) in the September after their 4th birthday. Example: If your child was born between 1st September 2020 and 31st August 2021, they'll be able to start school in September 2025.
Applications for places at Ark Victoria will be made in accordance with Birmingham Council's co-ordinated admission arrangements.
Applications must be submitted through the Birmingham Council website, using the link below.
Applications to start school in September 2025 needed to be submitted by the 15th of January 2025. Late applications will also need to be submitted through the Birmingham Council website.
Parents will be notified by Birmingham Council if their application had been successful.
If you have been unsuccessful, you can appeal your application.
