We're delighted that you're thinking of volunteering with us!
This page has details of all the volunteering opportunities available; if you'd like to get involved with any, please contact us.
All volunteers will receive a full briefing session.
You can see further details of our careers programme here.
Career Insight Talks
We offer a programme of Career Insight Talks to provide our pupils with valuable insight into career sectors to inform their next steps. We typically look for volunteers who can deliver a short talk about their career journey and answer questions about their role.
Work Experience Opportunities
We look to provide our students with exposure to top employers through work experience opportunities.
We typically look for volunteers who can provide an insight into their business and role through in person visits and work placements. These can vary in length from half day visits to 2-week placements.
CV Workshops
We run CV workshops to educate students on how to write a high-quality CV.
We typically need volunteers to give up 30-minutes of their time to review a student CV, offer feedback and ask them questions to prepare them for the world of work.
Employers information for Careers and Pathways Programme
We are very keen to engage with businesses and employers to help us inform and educate students about the local and national employment opportunities.
This links directly with Gatsby Benchmark 5 – Encounters with Employers and Employees, and Gatsby Benchmark 6 – Experiences of Workplaces. We provide many opportunities for businesses to interact with students: Employability skills workshops, careers fairs, presentations, careers panel, masterclasses, career speed networking and social action projects.
If you would like to get involved, or wish to advertise any apprenticeship vacancies through the college, then please contact m.nandi@arkvictoria.org giving at least 4 weeks notice. All requests will be considered on the basis of; staffing availability to support the activity, clashes with other planned activity, trips or visits to the Academy, interruption to preparation for examinations or rooming and space availability to host the activity.
