Year 7

The transition to secondary school is a very important step in the life of every young person. It is also an exciting step, but one that can be confusing and rather overwhelming at times. Here at Ark Victoria Academy (AVA), we aim to make the transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible. At AVA we believe that every pupil is an important individual, and we strive to ensure that every child can achieve success. It is vital that parents and the school work together to support your child's learning and we prioritise and value frequent links with parents. Our form tutors are supportive and kind and your child can speak with them or myself if they have any worries or concerns regarding their education and/or welfare throughout their secondary school journey with us.

All pupils leave Ark Victoria with broad and diverse academic knowledge and skills. Our curriculum enables pupils to make connections across themes and concepts, within and across subject disciplines, building their vocabulary and understanding. It also develops pupils' ambition and independence, as well as fostering resilience and kindness. This leads to our pupils becoming respectful, curious citizens with a strong moral purpose.
